You choose the film. You keep the edit.
$50 is held in your name the moment a production approves you — before you post anything, and nobody else can take it. From there you earn $2 for every 1,000 verified views, and the $50 is a floor rather than a ceiling: earn past it and the amount held grows to meet it.
Watch the film first, decline anything you don't want, and keep every word of what you say about it. Independent film, chosen by you, on your own channel.
How you earn.
held first, then paid on what landedThe moment a production approves you, $50 is reserved in your name for seven days. It cannot be given to anyone else and the production cannot withdraw it. That is what a slot is.
It is a floor, not a forecast. What you are paid is the rate applied to your verified views — earn more than $50 and the amount held grows to meet it; earn less and the difference goes back to the campaign. It is never a fee and never a debt.
Every 1,000 verified views is $2.00. There is no base fee for posting and no bonus for being early — the only thing that pays is views a person has checked.
Every campaign publishes the most one creator can earn — a third of the pool by default, so $100 on the smallest campaign and $1,666 on a $5,000 one — and you see it before you take the slot. If your post goes past it you can ask the production to pay the rest. They can say no, and if they do they have to tell you why. A no can never reach what you have already earned.
The remaining pool is visible before you post. You are never asked to work against a number you can't see.
Only views accrued while the campaign is active are billable, and a campaign ends the moment its pool reaches $0 — so post early rather than late.
$50 is what is held. What you take home is the rate applied to your views — so before you take a slot, HALO shows you what a typical post of yours would earn on that campaign. The median of your own recent posts, so half did better and half did worse, next to what your best one would have made.
Your figures, from the account you connect — not our averages, and not a promise about the next post. We would rather show you a modest number now than a flattering one you never reach. Nobody should feel misled by a figure they were shown before they agreed.
How it goes.
Create an account
Apply as a creator. Every account is verified by a person before it can work.
Wait for a campaign
Approved creators see campaigns as they go live.
Apply to a film
You choose. Preview first — you can always decline.
Get approved
The admin or the filmmaker approves applicants for that campaign.
Watch it in the Screening Room, then post
Use the supplied assets. Post as often as you like about that film — every post counts toward the same slot.
Leave it up
The post stays live for as long as the campaign is running. Once the pool hits $0 you can take it down.
Submit and get paid
After the campaign closes, submit your proof. A person approves it, then it pays.
What you have to do.
all six, or it pays nothingPaid-partnership label
The platform's native Branded Content or Paid Partnership toggle must be on, naming the filmmaker or the production — HALO is not the brand partner.
Caption tag
#ad or #sponsored in the first two lines of the caption, where it is visible before anyone taps "more". Both the toggle and the tag — not one or the other.
What the brief asked for
Whatever the production specified is actually there — the title, a caption line, a handle, a link. A production may require those. It may not require you to say you liked the film.
Live for the whole campaign
The post stays public for as long as the campaign is running. Once the pool hits $0 you are free to take it down.
Analytics screen recording
A screen recording — a video, not a screenshot — of the in-app analytics for that post, scrolled so the view count and the post date are both visible.
The film is really in it
A person watches the post and confirms the film is genuinely the subject of it — not a frame at the end of something else.
Any check missed
The post earns nothing. No exceptions, no partial credit — but you keep your slot, and you can fix it and submit again.
All six are decided by a person, not a script. Every decision is written down in words, names the check it turned on, and can be appealed.
You cut it, you caption it, you say what you think. A filmmaker can ask you to correct a factual error. Nobody can require you to like the film — this is #ad, not fake organic.
You hold one slot per campaign, and a slot is paid on the combined verified views of every post you make about that film. A video that underperformed is not the end of it: post again and you are paid on what the total has reached.
The total is read fresh each time rather than added up from before — so a first post that keeps climbing after a second one is up still earns. Every counted post has to stay live while the campaign is running.
Submit as soon as you have posted and can show the analytics — you do not wait for the campaign to end. A person checks it, your earnings accrue as a balance, and the balance is released when the campaign closes. Cash out any time you are above $20, by PayPal.
The $20 is a minimum for a cashout you ask for. It is not a minimum for getting your money: close your account, go quiet, or reach the end of the pilot and we pay the whole balance whatever it comes to. Nothing is ever forfeited for being small.
Get paid for films you actually chose.
We verify every creator by hand before your account can work.
