Policies

Published, in full, in plain English.

This page used to say the opposite, and that was true when it was written. It is not true now.

The two that bind

Terms of Service Privacy Policy

Both cover creators and productions in one document rather than two that can drift apart. Both are dated. Both say what happens to your money and your data in words, not by reference to a schedule somewhere else. Where anything on this marketing site disagrees with them, they win.

What we hold to, and it is in the terms

Screeners stream and cannot be downloaded, on links that expire and only for creators who have been approved and have signed. They are not watermarked, so a leaked file will not identify who leaked it — we would rather write that here than let a filmmaker assume otherwise. Assets are licensed single-use for one campaign. We do not buy engagement, run public leaderboards comparing creators, hide remaining budget, hide paid-partnership labels, or retain footage after a campaign ends. A production cannot require a creator to express a particular opinion, and cannot ask anybody to soften a paid disclosure — either is a breach of the terms, not a matter of taste.

Still changing

HALO is running pilot campaigns 1–10. The terms will change after them, and we will say so before they do rather than after. If you need something in writing that is not covered, ask before you fund a pool — we would rather answer than have you assume.
